SOUTHLAND REGIONAL REFLECTS ON STRONG TURNOUT AT ZIMBABWE AGRICULTURAL SHOW 2026

Southland Regional has thanked the public for a strong turnout at its stand at the Zimbabwe Agricultural Show 2026, describing the six-day event as an opportunity to connect with visitors, share the company’s story and discuss the developments currently under way across its property portfolio.

In a message posted after the show, the Harare-based construction, concessions and real estate group said it had enjoyed meeting members of the public and engaging in conversations about its ongoing work, extending thanks to everyone who visited the stand at the 116th edition of the show, held at the Harare Showgrounds under the theme “Powering Growth: Where Agriculture, Technology and Commerce Converge.”

Southland Regional operates across the full infrastructure life cycle, spanning turnkey construction, property development and professional services including engineering, project management and technical advisory work. The company’s motto, “People Busy Taking Responsibility,” reflects its stated approach of treating operating challenges as opportunities rather than obstacles, while positioning itself to remain resilient through Zimbabwe’s economic cycles.

Its portfolio of completed and ongoing projects spans both commercial and residential developments. On the commercial side, the company has delivered landmark buildings including Joina City, NMB Bank’s new head office, a Pick n Pay outlet in Kamfinsa and the Riverside Walk development at Avondale Mall, alongside a completed project for TESOL School in the Democratic Republic of Congo, reflecting its ambitions beyond Zimbabwe’s borders.

On the residential front, Southland Regional’s flagship offering remains Nyeredzi Ridge Estate in North-West Borrowdale, an exclusive gated community combining residential, commercial and civic elements across more than nine hectares of parks and recreational space anchored by a clubhouse. The estate has progressed through successive phases since construction began in 2021, with servicing, road and sewer infrastructure, a bio-digester and water storage systems steadily rolled out in partnership with Modus Property. The company has also introduced Rock Ridge Estate and Property X, a fractional property ownership product designed to widen access to real estate investment for everyday buyers.

Agricultural shows have increasingly become a platform not just for farming exhibitors but for construction and property developers seeking to engage directly with the public, and Southland Regional’s presence at this year’s show adds to a growing list of non-agricultural sectors using the event to build visibility and community relationships.

The company has not indicated whether it will return with a stand at future editions of the show, though its message suggested an appetite to continue engaging directly with the public on its projects going forward.
