River Valley Properties is expanding its fleet of earthmoving and service vehicles, a move directors say will significantly improve service delivery across the company’s operations in the Midlands Province.

The company’s directors, Group Chairman Engineer Mncedisi Dube and Group CEO Ambassador Smelly Dube, were on project sites in Woodlands Park Phase 2 this week to inspect the newly procured equipment. During the visit, they revealed that the fleet expansion forms a central part of River Valley Properties’ broader strategy to enhance operational capacity and respond more efficiently to client demands across its housing developments.

According to the directors, the expanded fleet is expected to reduce project turnaround times in several key service delivery areas, including road construction, drainage, sewer, and water infrastructure, all of which are critical components of the company’s ongoing housing projects in the region. By increasing the number of earthmoving and service vehicles at its disposal, the company aims to accelerate delivery timelines without compromising the quality of its infrastructure work.

During the site visit, Eng Dube personally handed over the machinery’s keys to the equipment operators, using the occasion to emphasise the importance of using the newly acquired vehicles responsibly and sustainably.

“We are handing these keys to you so that you appreciate the vision that we have to grow our operations and cement our position in industry as a key player. You should use it wisely, keep it well maintained and clean, so that it sustains us for a long time,” said Eng Dube.

In response, the operators and other workers present at the handover ceremony pledged to maintain the company’s fleet responsibly and to use the equipment appropriately, committing to uphold the standards outlined by the Group Chairman.

Beyond the earthmoving and service vehicles, the directors also addressed security considerations within Woodlands Park, handing over a motorcycle to security officers for use during their patrols of the development.

“Our security officers have a wide area to cover during their patrols, so we decided that they need a flexible transport system such as a motorbike. This way they can cover more ground faster than before and enhance their visibility to deter criminals,” Amb Dube said.

She further revealed that additional equipment was already “on the way” and would be formally commissioned once it arrives and is delivered to the company, suggesting that this latest expansion is only the first phase of a larger investment drive.

Taken together, these capital investments in heavy equipment, service vehicles, and security transport signal River Valley Properties’ readiness to compete more aggressively within Zimbabwe’s construction and property development sectors, positioning the company for continued growth as it works to meet rising demand across its housing projects in the Midlands Province.
