NEW DOUBLE DECKER EVENT STRUCTURE FROM ROONEY’S TO HIT THE MARKET

Rooney’s Hire Service, Zimbabwe’s long-established supplier of event infrastructure, has unveiled the completed Rooney’s Double Decker, a new addition to its equipment portfolio designed to bring elevated views and premium hospitality to events across the country. The company described the launch as the culmination of months of planning, design and construction, and said it was proud to see the project through from concept to completion.

Rooney’s, which has operated in Zimbabwe and the wider Southern African region for more than six decades, is based on Airport Road in Hatfield, Harare, and has built a reputation as one of the region’s leading suppliers of marquees, semi-permanent structures, furniture and full event setups. The company’s existing offering already includes customised modular units for brand activations, exhibitions, golf days and shopping centre promotions, branded to client specifications and installed on site within 45 minutes.

Among these, Rooney’s has previously offered double-decker units allowing commentators or DJs to be positioned above the main unit, a concept the new Double Decker structure appears to build upon and formalise into a dedicated, purpose-built product.

The newly completed structure has been designed with sporting events, corporate functions, festivals and VIP hospitality areas specifically in mind, offering guests an elevated vantage point over proceedings alongside a premium hospitality setting below. In unveiling the finished product, Rooney’s said it was thrilled with the final result and credited everyone involved in bringing the project to life, from initial concept and design through to construction and installation.

The launch reinforces Rooney’s positioning as a full-service events partner, with a portfolio spanning clearspan structures of between three and thirty metres in width, climate-controlled marquees, and bespoke builds engineered to international safety standards. The company has previously supplied conferencing and hospitality infrastructure to locations as varied as Nyanga and Victoria Falls, and the addition of the Double Decker is expected to widen its appeal to organisers seeking a distinctive, multi-tiered hospitality feature for large-scale events.

Rooney’s said it was looking forward to seeing the new structure in action at events across Zimbabwe in the coming months, describing the milestone as a step toward “bigger views, better experiences” for event organisers and guests alike. The company did not disclose further technical specifications, capacity figures or pricing for the new structure at the time of the announcement.
