Lovol and Sinotruk Open Their New Showroom on Samora Machel Avenue

LOVOL AND SINOTRUK โ€“ BOTH MEMBERS OF THE TSAPO GROUP โ€“ HAVE OPENED A BRAND NEW SHOWROOM FLOOR ON SAMORA MACHEL AVENUE IN EASTLEA JUST NEXT DOOR TO TENDESEKA OFFICE PARK. LOVOL WAS FORMERLY SITUATED AT 164 MUTARE ROAD AND SINOTRUK WAS AT 118 MUTARE ROAD. ALTHOUGH QUITE CLOSE TO EACH OTHER IT MADE SENSE FOR THE TWO COMPANIES TO RELOCATE TO ONE โ€“ CUSTOM DESIGNED โ€“ LOCATION. THEY ARE BOTH PART OF THE SAME GROUP AND SOME OF THEIR AREAS OF BUSINESS OVERLAP OR COMPLEMENT EACH OTHER.

ย Lovol specialises in the supply of heavy duty equipment and machinery for the construction industry, as well as for the agricultural and mining industries. The company was established in 2018 for the distributorship of LOVOL Construction, LOVOL Agriculture and now LOVOL Mining equipment, all well established and world renowned brands.

Lovol focuses on staying relevant and up to date with current technological advances. The Lovol brand has been tried and tested both locally and internationally and proven to be reliable, durable and tough. Lovol not only offers a great range of equipment and machinery they also carry a full range of accredited spares and parts. Lovol has a fully equipped workshop and highly trained technicians for after sales services, repairs and maintenance. They even have mobile workshop units to attend to on-site, field repairs and servicing. In addition they offer full training for drivers or operators of their equipment. Lovol also offers delivery service for their equipment.

Lovol supplies machinery such as graders and excavators, bulldozers, backhoes, rollers (ideal for civil construction of roads) and other related equipment. Their agricultural division supplies a wide range of tractors from small, easy to manoeuvre models, to huge powerful tractors for bigger industrial farming projects. They also supply tractor drawn trailers, ploughs and harvesters, combined harvesters, seeders, sprayers and balers. The company is the sole distributor of Lovol products in Zimbabwe.

The new outdoor showroom incorporates Sinotruk Zimbabwe. Sinotruk is a division of CNHTC โ€“ China National Heavy Truck Group Co. Sinotruk supplies a range of heavy duty vehicles including cargo trucks, dump trucks, tractor trucks, tank trucks and semitrailers. Not only do they supply a huge range of vehicles, they also supply an excellent after sales service including parts and spares, mechanical and electrical repairs and even dent and collision repairs.

Since their founding the company has won numerous awards in the industry over the last 12 years. The site for the showroom, which was an empty piece of land, was cleared by Forit Contracting, a civil and structural engineering company. The open air showroom floor was paved by Restore Properties with pavers from White Stock Enterprises. The layout of the display lot incorporates four open, unpaved areas which have been landscaped by Restore Properties to include a number of trees which will provide some shade and shelter when theyโ€™re established.

Office accommodation is supplied by three shipping containers โ€“ for mining and construction, tractors and farming equipment, and agriculture and construction. The containers have large glass windows and sliding glass and aluminium doors supplied by Glass Tech.

The glass has been covered with one way perforated vinyl printed with graphics and supplied by Brandforce, so the staffcan see out but customers canโ€™t see in โ€“ it provides a little bit of privacy for the

office workers and also helps to cut down the direct sun. Container offices can be quite hot but theyโ€™ve been fitted with aircon to keep them cooler in summer and warmer in winter. Each container has four desks with furniture and fittings supplied by Bestuhle โ€“ office furniture specialists.

Thereโ€™s plenty of parking for customers in front of the offices and loads of space on the forecourt for customers to walk around and check the machinery. The forecourt is separated from the main road by Clearview fencing which provides security but also allows passing motorists to see the equipment on the showroom floor. Restore Properties installed the fencing and all the walling. It looks especially impressive at night when the machinery is lit by a series of solar lights.

Future plans include developing the workshop at the back more fully and possibly including a bonded warehouse for storage. Lovol is also looking into an equipment leasing plan and a dealership for Weichai generators โ€“ although these are just in the pipeline at the moment. Lovol also has a branch in Bulawayo at 112 Robert Mugabe Road, corner 12th Street.
