Homelink Zimbabwe has confirmed that its flagship residential project, Homelink Heights, in Crowborough, Harare, is entering its final stages of construction, with finishing touches now underway ahead of homeowners receiving their keys.
Located just off High Glen Road, Homelink Heights comprises six blocks of three-storey flats, delivering 78 two-bedroomed apartments to the high-density suburb. Each unit spans 44 square metres and features an open-plan lounge and kitchen, a combined bathroom and toilet, and a private balcony. Three of the six blocks have already been completed, with the remaining blocks progressing toward occupation.
The development is designed as a secure, gated complex, offering residents amenities including reserved parking for beneficiaries, shared visitor parking, and a common children’s play area. Homelink has also built in resilience against Harare’s persistent water challenges, equipping the complex with solar geysers and a backup borehole water system to ensure uninterrupted supply.
Ownership security has been a key selling point of the project. Homelink has stated that sectional titles for the units will be processed, granting residents formal legal ownership and adding investment value to the homes.
Pricing for the apartments has been set at a cash price of USD 59,800, inclusive of VAT, with a mortgage option also available at USD 68,200. Buyers opting for the mortgage route are required to pay a minimum 20% deposit over three months, with the balance payable over a flexible 10-year term — a structure aimed at making homeownership more accessible to working Zimbabweans, including those in the diaspora.
The Crowborough project forms part of Homelink’s broader push into residential development across Harare, alongside land sales in areas offering serviced stands with tarred roads, water reticulation, and drainage already in place.
For many prospective homeowners, Homelink Heights represents a rare combination of affordability, security of tenure, and modern infrastructure in a high-density suburb that has traditionally seen slower formal housing development.
With construction now at an advanced stage, Homelink says occupation is expected soon, marking the culmination of a project that has moved through several phases since ground was broken, and giving buyers who committed off-plan their first tangible look at homes they have been paying toward for months.
