Homelink is putting the finishing touches on Homelink Heights, its residential development in Crowborough, Harare. In an announcement posted to its official X (formerly Twitter) account, the company said homeowners will soon be handed keys to their new apartments.

The development, located just off High Glen Road, comprises six blocks of three-storey flats offering two-bedroom units, each featuring an open-plan kitchen and lounge, a balcony and a combined ablution facility. Homelink has marketed the units as offering decent living space for families, with each apartment measuring around 44 square metres.

According to Homelink, the complex is designed as a secure, gated community, equipped with a backup borehole water system, ensuring a reliable and consistent water source for all residents. The development also offers plenty of parking space for residents and their guests, alongside a shared children’s play area, and buyers are set to receive sectional title for their units once processing is complete, giving them formal legal ownership.

Construction has progressed steadily since the project’s launch, with earlier reports indicating that three of the six blocks were already completed and open for viewing, while some blocks had already sold out ahead of completion. Homelink had previously targeted mid-2025 for completion of the full development, and the company’s latest update suggests the remaining units are now in their final finishing stages.

Homelink Heights forms part of a broader push by Homelink Properties into residential development across Zimbabwe. The company is also behind Homelink Estates, a roughly US$30 million project near Lake Chivero outside Harare, and Homelink Park in Bulawayo, which offers serviced residential stands. Together, the projects reflect a wider trend of diaspora-linked property developers targeting Zimbabwe’s urban housing shortage with a mix of affordable flats and serviced land.

Homelink has not given an exact date for when keys will be handed over to homeowners, though its official announcement signals that occupation is now close. Further details on the handover timeline and any remaining unsold units are expected to follow through the company’s official channels as the finishing works are completed.
