Bulawayo based Enock Construction and Earth Moving Equipment has been recognised for excellence in the building sector, taking home the Golden Trowel award for Construction Excellence at the Zimbabwe Building Contractors Association’s (ZBCA) Construction Industry Recognition Night, held under the banner CIRN ’26.

The awards ceremony took place on Saturday, 18 July 2026, at the Harare International Conference Centre (HICC), bringing together contractors, industry stakeholders and association members for an evening dedicated to celebrating standout performers in Zimbabwe’s construction sector. The event opened at 17:00hrs and followed a black tie dress code, with guests asked to dress in black and gold to match the night’s theme.

The Golden Trowel trophy presented to Enock Construction is a glass-and-gold award bearing the ZBCA emblem alongside the event branding, “Construction Industry Recognition Night ’26.” The award recognises the company’s contribution to construction and earth-moving work within the industry, an area that has seen growing demand as Zimbabwe’s building and infrastructure sectors expand.

ZBCA, established in 1985, positions itself as a leading voice for building contractors in Zimbabwe, with offices in both Harare and Bulawayo. The association’s Harare office is located at 115 Nelson Mandela and Leopold Takawira, St Barbara House, 2nd Floor, Office 202, while its Southern Region office in Bulawayo is based at 113 Jason Moyo and 12th Avenue, Treger House, 2nd Floor, Office 20C.

The Construction Industry Recognition Night forms part of ZBCA’s ongoing efforts to spotlight excellence among its membership and the wider construction fraternity, offering a platform to acknowledge companies and individuals whose work has stood out over the past year. Attendance for the evening was varied, reflecting the association’s aim of encouraging broad participation from across the industry, not just its registered members.
