ZIFA PLANS TO BUILD NEW HEADQUARTERS IN MOUNT HAMPDEN

The Zimbabwe Football Association (ZIFA) has made significant strides in its infrastructure development by unveiling plans for a state-of-the-art facility at ZIFA Village in Mount Hampden. This ambitious project, which includes a technical center, dormitory, changing rooms, and other outdoor amenities, signifies a new era for Zimbabwean football.

ZIFA’s investment in such a modern facility is aimed at elevating the standards of football development in the country. This new headquarters will provide an ideal environment for training, coaching, and administrative activities.

The technical center, equipped with cutting-edge technology, will enable players and coaches to hone their skills and knowledge. The dormitory will accommodate players and staff, fostering a sense of community and facilitating team bonding.

The construction of this facility aligns with the global trend of football associations investing in world-class infrastructure. Countries like South Africa, Morocco, and Egypt have already established impressive football headquarters that serve as hubs for talent development, administration, and international football events.

South Africa’s Football Association of South Africa (SAFA) headquarters in Johannesburg boasts modern training pitches, a state-of-the-art gym, and administrative offices. Morocco’s Royal Moroccan Football Federation (FRMF) headquarters in Rabat is a prestigious landmark, featuring a football museum, conference rooms, and a media center. Egypt’s Egyptian Football Association (EFA) headquarters in Cairo is a well-equipped facility that supports the development of Egyptian football at all levels.

For Zimbabwe, the construction of this new facility represents a significant step forward in the development of the sport. It will enhance the country’s football infrastructure, attract international attention, and contribute to the overall growth of the game. The provision of a conducive environment for training, coaching, and administrative activities, will capacitate ZIFA to produce top-quality players and coaches who can compete at the highest level.
