Steel Centre International opened their first branch in 2005. It’s situated at 9 Rodens Street, Magaba, Mbare, opposite TM Magaba. The aim was to supply steel and related products at the best possible prices for the Mbare market as well as for the wider construction and mining industries. They wanted to provide excellent, fast customer service and create a one-stop shop for all steel and related products. The first branch, which is still operating, proved to be so popular that in February this year they opened a second branch at 16986 Sande Crescent in Graniteside. The new branch is almost double the size of the original branch allowing Steel Centre to keep larger quantities of their products in stock. It’s also a more convenient and accessible location for customers. Negotiating the Mbare traffic, especially along Remembrance Drive, can be daunting, even when it’s not rush hour! The Graniteside branch is easily reached from Boshoff Drive just off the Seke Road. There’s loads of secure and hassle free parking for customers as well as ample driveway space for bigger delivery or collection vehicles. The new shop is constructed from steel trusses clad with Chromadek sheeting so it shows off some of the huge range of products that Steel Centre supplies. It was built by local construction company Grid Transmission and took around eight months to complete. There are big roller doors so it’s easy for bigger vehicles to get in and out. The shop floor is clean and orderly and the high roof and rows of translucent skylights make it bright and airy. Steel Centre International carries a huge range of stock so you can get all your steel needs in one place.

- Mesh wire, brickforce and barbed wire They also stock a range of steel related hardware including cutting discs, steel nails and roofing nails, welding rods, red oxide and other paints and even door handles.
Steel Centre offers a free cutting service, a bending service and deliveries within Harare for bigger orders.
