Property developer MCM Estates has officially signed award-winning musician Jah Prayzah as its brand ambassador, a move the company says is aimed at strengthening its market reach while promoting affordable home ownership. The signing ceremony, branded as a “Signature Luncheon,” was held on Sunday at the company’s headquarters in Belgravia, Harare, marking a significant partnership between the real estate sector and the arts.
MCM Estates chief executive officer Mr. Anthony Joseph McMullen, known popularly as Shumba or Baba Mazvita, stated that the collaboration with the Ruzhowa hitmaker is part of a broader strategy to align the property firm with influential national figures. He noted that the partnership reflects a commitment to connecting with Zimbabweans across all demographics while advancing a mission of transparent land ownership.
Currently, MCM Estates is managing several large-scale projects, including the University Way Housing Development in Marondera and the Chesa Wildlife Resort in Mt Darwin. The firm’s business model centres on “land banking,” an investment approach where clients secure land to lock in value for future development or resale. According to the company, this model is particularly effective for middle-to-low income earners who may otherwise struggle with traditional lump-sum payments.
One of the flagship offerings highlighted during the ceremony is a payment plan that allows clients to secure residential stands in gated communities for $200 per month. Mr. McMullen emphasized that the plan requires no deposit and carries no interest, a structure specifically designed to make land ownership attainable for the average Zimbabwean. He described the initiative as a way to turn the “distant dream” of owning a home into a manageable reality for local and diaspora investors.
Speaking at the event, Jah Prayzah expressed his honour in partnering with a brand focused on community empowerment. He remarked that owning land and building a home is a powerful milestone for any family and stated his pride in promoting opportunities that help Zimbabweans secure their future through stable property investments.
The partnership comes as the Zimbabwean real estate market shows signs of steady growth in 2026, with a high demand for serviced stands in satellite towns like Marondera. By bringing one of the country’s most prominent cultural icons on board, MCM Estates aims to boost public confidence in the real estate sector and expand its footprint in the regional property market.
