Highland Park is much more than just a shopping mall – it’s a lifestyle centre with a selection of carefully curated tenants for customers’ convenience. It’s located at the junction of Arcturus Road and Emmerson Mnangagwa Road (formerly Enterprise Road), both of which are major arterial routes to the CBD and the northern suburbs. Phase 1 was officially opened by President Mnangagwa on 29th June this year. Phase 2 is expected to be complete early next year. The project is part of the National Development Strategy to boost infrastructure across Zimbabwe. It’s a component of the development of seven economic corridors across Harare which includes Avondale – Second Street, Samora Machel Avenue East and West, Simon Mazarodze Road, Lomagundi Road, Mukuvisi, Harare-CAZ Aerotropolis Export Processing Zone and Venturesburg Export Processing Zone.
The mall created by Terrace Africa in conjunction Tigere Property Fund. It was designed by the South African firm Skyscape Architects with Architectural and Planning Studio as the local Architect of Record. Africa Horizon Construction acted as the main contractors.

Within the complex are the new Puma Service Station for all your fuel, lubricants and other automotive needs. There’s also a Chicken Inn Drive-Through for delicious, fresh food on the go. Chicken Inn also has a seating area so you can enjoy your food in comfort. Puma Service Station and Chicken Inn can be accessed from either the Arcturus Road entrance or from Emmerson Mnangagwa Road.

The mall has loads of safe, secure, guarded parking for customers’ convenience and peace of mind. Traffic lights along Emmerson Mnangagwa and Arcturus Road ensure a smooth flow of traffic even during peak hours. The mall is busy during the day but there are a number of tenants that offer food and recreation after the normal 9 to 5 shopping hours, so the place is still buzzing in the evenings.

The structure is spread over two floors in two wings with Pick n Pay as the main anchor tenants in the centre. (Pick n Pay also has a separate liquor outlet close to the main shop.) The new Pick n Pay is bright and fresh and colourful with attractive displays of their fruit and vegetables. The shop has a high roof insulated with silver Alububble and with exposed trunking for air- conditioning, so it has a modern, industrial appeal.

On the ground floor near the Arcturus Road entrance is the new Café Nush adding to their already established and popular outlets at Avondale and at Village Walk in Borrowdale. It offers the same great food, excellent service and a relaxed atmosphere with both indoor and outdoor seating options. Above Café Nush is the new Pariah State outlet called Upstate. Pariah State already has branches in Avondale, Borrowdale, Belgravia and Victoria Falls. It’s a vibey and trendy spot for good food and a great atmosphere.

In the same wing of the mall you’ll find other great food outlets including Yanaya for healthy and delicious vegetarian orientated foods like their fabulous smoothies. There’s Cottage Bites for irresistible pies and pastries made fresh daily. Their spinach and feta pies are the best in Harare. They’re open from 8 am to 9 pm Monday to Saturday and 8 am to 5 pm on Sundays.
You’ll also find H-town Gelato for the best Italian-styled ice cream and sweet treats in town, including dairy free, gluten free and vegan options. Candy Hut offers a variety of treats for kids and adults too – sweets, gummies, chocolates, toffees caramels and little extra surprises.
