It’s essential that they are aware of the diverse professional courses available at universities and training institutions across the country, equipping them with the skills and knowledge needed to thrive in this dynamic sector. The Real Estate Institute of Zimbabwe’s recent call for applications highlights the breadth of opportunities available and serves as a valuable roadmap for aspiring professionals.
The Institute sought qualified candidates in a range of specializations, demonstrating the industry’s need for skilled individuals. These areas included Building Construction I, II, and III, covering the essential technical aspects of construction. The call also emphasized the importance of legal and regulatory knowledge, with openings for those versed in the Estate Agents Act, Estate Agent Auctioneering, and Law I and II. Effective property management, a crucial aspect of the industry, was also highlighted, along with the need for expertise in taxation.
Urban planning plays a vital role in shaping our built environment, and the Institute sought professionals trained in Town Planning I and II. Finally, the call underscored the importance of accurate property valuation, with opportunities for those specializing in Valuation I-IV and the Valuation Act. A prerequisite for these positions was a relevant degree, further emphasizing the need for higher education and specialized training.
