The Bulawayo City Council has been commended for its strategic foresight in investing in critical machinery aimed at strengthening road maintenance and rehabilitation efforts.
In a speech read on her behalf by Director of Coordination in her office, Mrs Boetsoarelo Noko during the commissioning of the city’s road maintenance equipment that was procured using funds from the Zimbabwe National Roads Administration (Zinara)’s 2025 disbursements, Bulawayo Minister of State for Provincial Affairs and Devolution Judith Ncube said the state of Bulawayo’s roads has been a growing concern, particularly following recent heavy rains that left many roads riddled with potholes and difficult to navigate.
“It is, however, encouraging to see teams from the City visible on the ground, attending to the areas most severely affected. Today, we are not merely commissioning machinery; we are affirming accountability in the use of public resources.
