Astiz t/a Dawn Africa Zimbabwe recently relocated to their new warehouse and distribution centre at 108 Seke Road, diagonally across the street from ABC Auctions. Some years ago Astiz had a warehouse and showroom in Southerton, before relocating to Cam Road – just around the corner from their current premises – and then on 21st January this year they opened their brand new premises along Seke Road. The move from Southerton to Graniteside makes it much more convenient for customers to view their broad product range, place their orders and collect their goods. The new premises on Seke Road has a small showroom in the front as well as office space and three floors of warehouse space to accommodate their extensive amount of stock. Dawn Africa specialises in supplying sanitary ware and fittings, plumbing materials, and a range of hand and power tools. In the very near future they’ll be establishing an exclusive range of paints and related accessories like brushes and rollers, scrapers, water paper and all the other essential bits and pieces.
Dawn Africa stocks leading South African and international brands imported directly from their sister company based in Germiston, Gauteng. The SA company manufactures, sources and distributes well-known, high quality, branded hardware, sanitary ware, plumbing, kitchen, bathroom, engineering and civil products throughout the Southern Africa region including Botswana, Lesotho, Namibia and Swaziland and there’s a sister distribution outlet based in Lusaka, Zambia. This enables Dawn Africa Zimbabwe to have a very reliable and dependable source for their various product lines and insures that they keep up to date with the most recent trends and technological advances. The large scale of the business allows Dawn Africa Zimbabwe to procure stock at the most competitive prices – and pass the savings on to their customers.
Dawn Africa Zimbabwe is primarily focussed on supplying leading hardware retailers countrywide like Electrosales (Powerspeed)Farm and City and Union Hardware as well a vast network of smaller hardware outlets. In addition they offer a doorstep delivery service whereby urgent consignments can be sent from the SA warehouse directly to you and Dawn Africa will take care of customs and border clearance. Because they move such large quantities of goods on a regular basis they have excellent relationships with clearing agencies and transport operators saving you time and money.
Dawn Africa offers a range of other services too. They can work in partnership with architects, engineers and building contractors and draw up a Bill of Quantities and a quotation. For plumbers and bathroom and kitchen fitters Dawn Africa’s experienced staff will visit the site and assess the material requirements and offer advice on the best products and the best installation procedures – all free of charge. Dawn Africa prides itself on keeping up to date with the ever-changing trends and fashions in bathroom and kitchen fittings as well as staying abreast of the latest developments in new technology and construction methods.
Most of their ranges are available in different price brackets to suit any project – they stock an economy range, a middle range and an exclusive high end, luxury range. Some of their most fashionable and popular products include free standing bath tubs with floor mounted bath mixers and a new range of trendy matte black taps and accessories.
Dawn Africa are also investigating a new range of materials for prefabricated buildings which is extremely cost effective and quick and simple to erect. The wall panels are polystyrene, clad on both sides with aluminium sheeting, ensuring both thermal and sound insulation. Sections can be cut out of the panels to allow for the fitting of doors and windows and the panels are easily pop-riveted together to form the structural walls. Because the panels are light weight they only need very basic footings and foundations and a Chromadek roof can be easily fitted on top completing the building in just a few days. They are currently working with a Church group for their first prototype so watch out for a report on the end product!
